HOW WE PRODUCE

After arriving in the factory on Java, the harvested Rattan is treated in a pool to give it a grey surface, called Kubu Grey. After this process to Kubu Grey, the bundles are transported to the production area one by one.

On Java there are many skilled weavers, who make Rattan products as have they been doing for decades. Each product is woven by hand.

The woven products have to pass the quality control.

The fibres are burned off and the last repairs are made on the products.

Another group of (mainly) ladies sew the plastic liner into the baskets to make them waterproof.

After this, your final product is ready.

The products are packed in large boxes and loaded into sea containers, ready to be shipped all over the world.
